The Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) has announced the full line-up of speakers and sessions for its first annual HRX meeting (8–10 September, San Diego, USA).

The conference offers clinicians, engineers, product developers, investors, entrepreneurs, non-profit organisations, and patient advocacy groups the opportunity to examine the latest digital health advancements and share respective challenges, while envisioning future solutions together, HRS said in a press release.

Key speakers include leading cardiovascular digital health thought leaders, including Sana M Al-Khatib (Duke University Medical Center, Durham, USA); Peter J Fitzgerald (Stanford University, Palo Alto, USA); Nassir Marrouche (Tulane University, New Orleans, USA); Jag Singh (Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA); and Eric Topol (Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, USA).

“We are delighted to bring the full continuum of cardiovascular stakeholders from clinicians to engineers to entrepreneurs together. With an ‘intentionally unconventional’ spirit, HRX will cultivate a dynamic experience where ideas, solutions and new data around cardiovascular digital health and future innovations can be shared,” said Al-Khatib, HRX Executive Producer.

“HRX, the first meeting of its kind, comes at a critical time when technology is integral to helping our patients play an active role in their health,” said HRS President Andrew D Krahn (University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada). “We have seen first-hand just how life-changing digital solutions can be for our patients, and we look forward to how takeaways from this meeting will help propel our cardiovascular field forward.”
