On 1 August, eCardio Diagnostics announced the promotion of John H Untereker to president, effective immediately.

Untereker will replace Larry Lawson, the company’s founder, as president. Lawson is a healthcare industry veteran who launched the company almost a decade ago to provide physicians with accurate cardiac monitoring services through innovative and flexible web-based solutions. Lawson will remain chairman and chief executive officer.

Lawson said, “I am excited to see John in this role. His leadership played a pivotal part in the company’s delivery of strong financial results and operational improvements over the last few years and he has been instrumental in the development of the company’s long-term growth strategies.”

Additionally, Lawson said, “John has navigated us through the opportunities and challenges present during the launches of two mobile cardiac telemetry products in just two years and I have no doubt that he will guide the company through many more successes.”

Untereker said, “I am proud and humbled to have this wonderful opportunity to work with a fantastic team in building further growth and success for eCardio.”

Untereker joined eCardio’s board of managers in 2009 and became a part of the company’s leadership team as vice president and chief financial officer in 2010. He was promoted to executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer in 2011.
