AliveCor has announced the appointment of Toby Cosgrove to its board of directors. For more than 13 years, through to 2017, Cosgrove served as president and chief executive officer of Cleveland Clinic where he was responsible for overseeing the quality of care for millions of patients annually.

Prior to becoming CEO of Cleveland Clinic, Cosgrove was a practicing cardiothoracic surgeon, performing more than 22,000 operations. He also served as a surgeon in the US Air Force where he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Republic of Vietnam Commendation Medal.
